Telephone Consultations – Update
From 1st October 2020, Telehealth Consultations will no longer be routinely bulk-billed for all patients.
Medicare Patients with a Centerlink Health Care or Pension Card, or children under 16 will continue to be bulk-billed for Telehealth, provided they have attended the clinic for a Face-to-Face Appointment in the last 12 months.
A Private Fee will apply for all other telehealth consultations. After the Medicare Rebate, patients will be out of pocket $33 regardless of consultation length.
Payment will be collected prior to the consultation, via a secure payment request we send from Hotdoc, or over the phone. Medicare rebates will be processed online to save you hassle.
Lane Cove Doctors Medical Centre is a private billing practice.
We do offer bulk billing for children under 16, and for holders of government concession cards (i.e. Pension Concession Card, Healthcare Card and Commonwealth seniors health card) if they have a booked appointment, Monday – Friday.
All other appointments, including appointments on weekends and public holidays, are privately billed for all patients. Walk-in appointments are privately billed for all patients, however, concession rates are available for eligible patients*
We have EFTPOS and Medicare EasyClaim available for easy payments and on-the-spot Medicare rebates!
*Eligibility for concession rates: children under 16, holder of valid government concession card that is presented on arrival.
PROCEDURES, CERVICAL SCREENING & PRE-EMPLOYMENT MEDICALS:
Please check with reception for further information as the following will incur a private fee:
- Procedures involving medical equipment (equipment fee ranging from $10 – $50)
- Pre-employment medical assessments and other medical assessments not covered by Medicare
- Women’s health checks (cervical screening/ PAP test)
